As promised, I will have a section in my site dedicated to the gambling gods and idols of the gambling world: TheOddsKing gurus. Having been involved in the gaming industry for several years TheOddsKing has been privileged to work with various experts in all fields of gaming. They are all Gurus in their own chosen field. Some are professional players who spend all their time beating the casinos. Many have years of experience working with various casinos and operators, accumulating priceless insight into the world of online gaming and land based casinos.

Are we hard core gamblers? Nope, hardly. We will not wager the last dollar meant to be for the milk powder for my baby. Rather we enjoy the games. Do we win? Not all the time but I think we did pretty ok, enough to make everyone green with envy. Enough for sinful indulgences.

I am a simple man, but who doesn’t enjoy having expensive tastes once a while? I think we do well enough to allow us all these luxuries. Again, I have to say that I enjoy the games more than anything else, so do my Gurus.

Including myself there are 4 Gurus running the site. Known collectively as TheOddsKing Gurus, I will introduce them to you one by one and each have their own area of expertise. They will cover all aspects of casino gaming.

Guru One: TheOddsKing

I am Guru number one: The editor of this website, yours truly, TheOddsKing. My association with gambling and casinos goes a long way. Throughout my career, I have worked locally and overseas with many gaming operators as a consultant. I am also an avid punter, albeit a smart and calculative one. It’s the balance of all these that makes me knowledgeable in all things related to gaming. From the operations of casinos, strategies of gaming and the action behind the scenes of both online and land based casinos, I know them all.

Throughout my career, from SE Asia to China, I have been involved with various operators in gaming projects, mainly online. From marketing to infrastructure, customer service to IT. My focus is on the Asian gaming market, that’s my area of expertise. I am the brains behind this website and I intend share my knowledge with my readers by contributing to various articles. I think I am good in my area of expertise, I look the part and dress well in my line of work as the consultant. All these are not important. Guru Two: TheCardsKing

When I was planning to set up TheOddsKing.com, the first person that came to mind to assist me to contribute material was TheCardsKing. I first got to know him through a cards buddy who introduced him to me one day on a trip to a casino. Recalling that day many years ago, TheCardsKing came across as a typical Chinese middle age man, looks like a Towkay (business boss) with a healthy build and always in a short sleeve shirt. Underneath his tough looking demeanor is a mind that has been sharpened by years of cards playing, in which he has won a fortune playing cards full time with other players and in regional tournaments. His ‘Cards King’ title is by no means a fluke and was bestowed upon him by no less his rivals whom he has beaten so convincingly.

TheCardsKing has your typical tough guy, streetwise character. From young, he started working in underground casinos, dealing cards and shaking dices, working his way up from a croupier. In his more than 20 years association with gambling, he has seen the scene start from a dingy shop house in a rundown neighborhood in the 1980s to the dazzling scene that is online gaming today.

Streetwise and smart, TheCardsKing is now a burly man in his mid 40s and is now employed by a casino as a consultant, imparting his keen sense of card playing to croupiers and casino executives as well as to assist in fraud detection. With his built and the tattoos on his arms, he looks like the street toughen character you see as the big brother. However if you put him in a game of cards, you will see that his street cred is not from his built but in his finesse when it comes to playing cards. I consult him all the time with regards to card playing strategies and would I spend weekends learning how to play from the King himself. A true Cards master behind the tough exterior.

Guru Three: TheCasinoKing

TheCasinoKing, if you do not know him, looks like your typical deskbound geek. TheCasinoKing is my partner in my first few projects in gaming and he spends his entire life devoted to studying strategies in beating the games. Always in glasses and with long sleeve shirts tuck in nicely in pants, he can pass off as anyone with a daytime job as a banker or lawyer. However, put him in a casino game and his eyes will lit up and that’s where he shows his true skill. He makes winning at casino games an art.

TheCasinoKing and myself started going to casinos together after barely turning legal with a burning desire to beat the casinos with our strategies. We did our research and practiced hard. However at the beginning we were burnt hard. We lost almost practically everything but we didn’t give up. We don’t want to lose blindly without a reason. We analyzed our mistakes and befriend experts. After that, we improved our strategies and game skills and recovered all that we have lost.

Now those days are truly behind us and I can say that we are making enough at the casino that probably there is no need for work. But we didn’t. We keep our daytime jobs to keep us sane and rooted in reality. I advise no one here to get carried away. We are good, but we are realistic too. You can be like us and make lots of money from the casinos. However always treat casino as a avenue of entertainment. Only if you are enjoying yourself, then you can do well and make some money out of the process.

Guru Four: TheLubangKing

What is a lubang? Simply defined, a lubang , is a slang that means something good, something that will work in your favor. Most of the times, lubangs will refer to opportunities where you can gain an edge, an advantage over others, and this usually translate in making some cash.

Introducing my 4th and last Guru: TheLubangKing. My last guru is my ex-school mate. Having know him almost all my life, since primary school he has built his career initially as prominent sports journalist. He contributes to major newspaper, publications and online sports forum around the region. His articles are mainly on score predictions, acting as a tipster to source out the best bets in the market for sports.

Someone who is fanatics about sports, he specializes in football in the major European leagues. Constantly giving the right predictions and topping tipster rankings in competitions, he enjoys cult respect and a strong legion of fans who swears by his predictions. Getting out of journalism and concentrating on being a tipster is his next career progression, to make the big bucks.

That’s why I call my last Guru, TheLubangKing. His extensive network after 15 years as a respected journalist now gives him information mainstream publications don’t have access to or are not able to publish.
